So... sorry for not posting in two months. Nothing crazy going on, just lots of work and I decided to spend my spare time painting and modelling instead of blogging. I've been working on an Epic scale force and plugging away at some non-Oldhammer related hobby stuff.

Sadly I won't be able to make it to USA Oldhammer day this year due to work obligations, but I did make it to Historicon and another Oldhammer Basement Bash and got a few Rogue Trader games in. Also, i'm looking forward to getting an Epic force put on the table.

It's no exaggeration when I say that Abdul Goldberg has haunted my games for decades, and yet I've never put very much thought into how I would represent him on the table. Back when I was just a bulldog puppy my Rogue Trader collection was a hodgepodge of Space Marines, Squats, and Imperial Guard and my only "opponent" fielded pansy Eldar and Chaos, so most of our games were skirmish sized and we never really got to dig into the pirate and mercenary story lines on the tabletop, but they were some of the coolest scenarios. Fast forward to now and I'm obsessed with pirates and scoundrels! The time has come.... for the ultimate scoundrel to make it to the tabletop.

As some of you may have already gathered based on whats been floating around the Oldhammer Social Media and Blogosphere the last few days, a couple of us New World boys had a little get together. That's right.. THE SECOND ANNUAL NORTHERN VIRGINIA AND OTHER STATES REGIONAL GRAND OLDHAMMER TOURNAMENT!! Otherwise known as NOVAOSGROT!!!

Yes kiddies, two whole days of grown men and women devolving into their glorious 12-year old selves. Basement-dwelling nerdom at its finest.

BUT THIS IS A BATTLE REPORT! I'll write about the event later, let's talk about some fucking Rogue Trader! (I swear I live for this shit).

Bigger is Better!

So this is a slight departure from the majority Rogue Trader flavor of this blog. I have a WHFB Dark Elf army i'm slowly slogging through, but I also have been collecting some big guys just for the sake of collecting. The old Jes Goodwin Ogres in particular are some of my all time favorite models. I managed to collect about seven or eight Ogres so far. I love these.
